Are you tired of having to create separate documents, and design separate images when you want to share your brand new blog post to Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram?
Not to mention Twitter and LinkedIn too! So many social media sites, so many different-sized graphics to create, oh my!
If you’re looking for the fastest, easiest and newest way to design multiple social media graphics AT THE SAME TIME, click here to start a FREE Tailwind Create account (and follow along).
In this post (and the video below), I’ll take you step-by-step through designing multiple social media graphics at the same time with Tailwind Create.
But first, let’s talk about the wold way and why Tailwind Create’s must-recent update is a game-changer for bloggers and content creators like you.
The Old Way of Designing Social Media Graphics
Before Tailwind Create, you had to design social media graphics in separate documents. No matter which graphic design tool you were using, you’d have to design your images, one by one.
As you can see below, when I designed my graphics for my blog posts, I would use three separate Adobe Photoshop documents. I would copy and paste the designs from one to the other, resizing for each platform.
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t even designing graphics for my Instagram feed or Instagram Stories. It’s just too much for me to handle! Maybe it is for you too.
If you’re using a platform like Canva to design your images, you also have to create separate documents, depending on the size, and unless you have a Canva Pro plan, you can’t actually copy and paste from one document to the other.
To create all your social media-sized graphics, you would have to do so at least FOUR-TIME! Why? Becuase every platform has their own prefered size for graphics.
Standard Sizes for Social Media Graphics
When creating your graphics for social media, the most optimal size differs greatly from site to site.
For example, you shouldn’t share your Facebook images (horizontal) on Pinterest (vertical), or your Instagram images (square) as your Twitter images (horizontal).
What are the best sizes for your social media graphics?
- Pinterest pins should be 2×3 (so 1000 x 1500 pixels)
- Facebook images should 16 x 9 (or roughly 1200 x 630 pixels)
- Instagram Feed posts should be 1 x 1 (or 1000 x 1000 pixels)
- Instagram Stories should be 9 x 16 (or 1080 x 1920 pixels)
You get it! It’s complicated! Who has the time? But, what if there was an easier way?

How cool is that? It’s amazing. So, we are going to take a look at this brand-new feature in Tailwind Create.

Step #2: Select or Upload Your Images
First, you need to select your images. You have three options for images:
- Uploading them from your computer,
- Importing them from your content,
- Or choosing them from the built-in stock photo library.
For example, if you’re a travel blogger, lifestyle blogger, maybe a food blogger who takes their own images, you would upload directly. You could also paste a link to your content, and Tailwind is going to pull those images for you. So. if they’re already embedded in your blog post, that makes things easy.
If you’re choosing stock images enter search terms related to your content to find relevant images that would work really well for your content. For example, I searched “talking” for my blog post on being introverted.
Step #3: Add Your Text
After selecting your images, scroll down the right-hand side of Tailwind Create to add your text. This could be the title of your blog post or whatever content you’re promoting.
I added “How To Be Less Introverted” as that’s the title of my blog post.
You can also add a subtitle, so maybe I also would put “And Be More Outgoing”.
Customize Your Fonts, Colors and Branding
You can also change your font(s), and choose your color palette.
For your branding, you can upload your logo or use your domain name (this is my choice).
Now, it’s time to select and edit your social media graphics.
